DSE-20 index increased 3.12 points |

Dhaka-- (UNB) – The main index at Dhaka Stock Exchange closed higher yesterday (Saturday) with the gainers dominating the losers. The DSE all Share Price Index gained 2.23 points or 0.37 per cent to close at 624.56 points from Tuesday’s 622.23 points. The DSE-20 index also increased 3.12 points or 0.25 per cent to close at 1229.34 points from Tuesday’s 1226.22 points. Trading was not held in last three days due to two days of hartal and a weekly holiday. Of the 134 listed securities traded yesterday, 74 advanced, 44 declined and 16 remained unchanged. Some 1,800,308 shares and debentures worth Tk 10.74 crore were transacted against 1,514,960 shares valued at Tk 9.02 crore on the Tuesday. Quasem Drycells (409,000), Aims First Mutual Fund (232,500), Fu-Wang Food (173,500), Dhaka Bank (106,600) and Sinobangla (88,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 59.53 billion from Tk 59.31 billion on Tuesday. |
